In Class Exercise: Revisit #assignment 1 – Choose 6 or more shots from your favorite sequence that tell the visual narrative and cover the action taking place. Use a variation of shots. Upload to the class blog with your #name and #assignment 1 storyboard.

Assignment
Read:
Walter Murch – Why Do Cuts Work?, Cut Out the Bad Bits, Most With the Least, The Rule of Six (book pages 5-20 || pdf pages 2-12)

Do:
– Upload Project 1 reviewed Storyboards and Cover shot to PhotoCentral.  Print the storyboard(s), and one still as your Cover shot.
– Start working on Project 2 “Personal Diary”.  Create a storyboard – this can be hand drawn, prepare a shooting schedule, go out and shoot. Bring your footage and sound to class.
-Assignment 3 – Due Week 6. Re-edit a clip with a new look and new soundtrack. The goal is to entirely change the reading of the found footage. The clip can be your favorite commercial, music video, social media video or video from your data archives.

– Project 2 Storyboard – upload to the  class blog with your #name, #project 2 storyboard. This is can be the first draft of  your storyboard.
-Assignment 3 – The original clip and the re-mix. Please explain your decisions and what you discovered or learned.  Upload to the class blog with your #name and #assignment 3.
